![]() ![]() I was very fortunate because I won this massage at the NYE party at the Sheraton Bay Point Resort. I got what is called the Signature Serenity Massage. The room was quiet and had a very relaxing vibe about it. She let me smell everyone before I made a decision. She allowed me to pick a scent for my massage. Pretty much anything that you would need.Īs for the massage itself. The area also has a long mirror, sinks, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair gel, and hair dryers. They also have shower for your use for before or after (or both) your massage. She gave me a robe and slippers, a locker key, and showed me the changing areas. Olga was the very efficient, hard-working woman tending to my needs. You're also offered beverages while you wait for your massage and the entire time your there. I personally loved the lounge because it was a quiet room (no phones) and if there is one thing that my life needs is "quiet". Sauna | Steam room | Lounge | Whirlpool | Reflections Pool | Fitness Center With the spa treatment, enjoy all the spa facilities, including: Yes, I said "day" because even if you only have a massage scheduled it includes the use of the entire facility. The Serenity Spa is a great way to relax your cares away for the day. I would hope that the spa was very good if you are able to use it. I told my daughter not to worry about the money because it is her first real vacation. Be aware that the age limit is 16 because they will not tell you if you book over the phone. My daughter, 13, was upset that I had to spend the money for no service and told me to go ahead and do it. The manager was not very helpful and spent 3 minutes at the desk before approaching me to address the issue. I still see as of this review that the charge still stands at 55 dollars. He said he would make sure that he charged the least amount possible. I went back to the spa to address the charge with the manager. I was informed by the hotel desk that the spa is independent of them, which is not how they advertise it, and my problem would have to be addressed with them. They did cancel her appointment no charge but told me if I canceled it would be 55 dollars.I decided to not opt for my child waiting for me for an hour while I get a massage. I advised them that we were not told that she would have to be 16. When we went for our reservation they said she had to be 16. I told them it was for myself and my daughter. I booked two massages at the spa, one for myself and one for my daughter. Complete waste of money to not be able to enjoy all the amenities of the spa. Not to mention, the sauna was "broken" and not available for use. And to top it off, they tried charging me more for the massage than my VIP rate. However by this point, I was too stressed/tensed to even enjoy it. After my refusal to reschedule for a later time/day, they finally located someone to proceed with my massage (who didn't offer me the option to choose my 'zents'). I even provided my cell phone record of the call the day beore confirming my appt. Yet, he proceeded to get an attitude and attempted to make it my fault as they had no record in the computer and I quote, "the computer keeps track of all their activity". You would have expected a repeat client of both the spa and resort to be treated with the utmost respect. ![]() even after calling me the day prior to confirm. Much to my surprise, they had no record of my appt. Upon arriving, I was greeted by John Catchen-Dunne, the Spa Director. As usual, I booked my massage prior to our arrival, which also meant the date and who I spoke with to make the appointment. I have visited the spa here for many years but will not be returning after my most recent visit this past weekend. Also, when paying she added a 20 percent tip and then that she added the tip but she could change it if I "wanted to tip less." We could not get back into the spa and had to walk a block in our suits on a cold day to get back to the front. She took us to the outside hot tub and immediately left. We were not offered drink or snacks, and there did not seem to be any staff for this purpose. ![]() She talked over me, she did not give spa shoes, while I was changing and was the only one there, she opened all of the lockers and turned off the indoor hot tub. ![]() She wasn't overtly rude, but she was definitely not friendly. The desk person seemed to be the only employee other than the therapists. The things that killed this experience were dealing with the desk person and the outdoor hot tub, which was touted over and again as an amenity for the spa, but was in fact filled with screaming toddlers in floaties. The massages were great, and so were the facials. ![]()
